Cynthia Lou Betz of Bardstown, KY (formerly Spa) passed away peacefully in the early hours of April 11, 2026 after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, who passed away less than three days prior, her parents: Wanda and David Coursey, her brother: Jim Coursey, and her granddaughter: Mia Duncan Barnes.

She is survived by her children: Grant Hildabrand (Kristin) of Russellville, KY and Kate Barnes (Cory) of Bowling Green, KY; her stepdaughter Heather Vittitow (Ben) of Bardstown, KY; her three grandchildren, Baron Vittitow, Harrison Barnes, and Lena Grace Hildabrand; her siblings Joe Coursey and Sarah Jones; and a collection of beloved family and friends.

A funeral will be held at Walnut Grove Baptist Church on Highland Lick Road on Sunday, April 12th with visitation from 12:00-3:00 PM and services immediately following. Arrangements are being handled by Kirby Funeral Services. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Walnut Grove Cemetery Fund.
