Obituary

Duane Allen Spencer, 54, of Russellville passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2026 at the Medical Center of Bowling Green. He was born July 29, 1971, to the late Howard Lee Spencer & Joyce Ann McKinnis. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents Bill & Dovie Spencer, Doc & Eva McKinnis, & Uncle Billy McKinnis. He is survived by his Son Ethan Spencer of Russellville, sister Sonja Cauley (Jimmy) of Auburn, Uncle Dale Spencer of Franklin, Aunt Betty McKinnis of Woodburn, numerous cousins & friends. Dwayne was a faithful member of New Vision Community Church, retired after 17 years serving on the Russellville Rural Fire Department, owned and operated his Lawncare business, which his son Ethan continues. Dwayne loved his community, and you would find him at any benefit for our community when there was one. He was the first to show up to lend a hand. His love for God and his son Ethan showed with the way he lived and was an inspiration to many. He loved his fathers 1964 Chevrolet truck which he took to many car shows. Dwayne had a love for classic cars and always at local shows showing his support in many ways even when he was sick. Dwayne will be missed by many, but his memory will be carried on in many ways. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 16 from 5 to 8pm and on Friday July 17, 2026 from 10am to 1pm with Bro. Brad Rogers officiating services in the chapel of Kirby Funeral Services Russellville with burial to follow in Auburn Cemetery. Duanes wishes were for anyone that could bring that hot rod or classic to lead the funeral to the cemetery.
