James Henry "Jamie" Whittinghill, 83, of Russellville passed away on Monday July 29, 2024 at his residence.  He was born in Greenville, KY in 1941 to the late Clarence William Whittinghill Sr. & Bessie Mae Whittinghill.  He was also preceded in death by daughter Gelema Rager, daughter Melinda Shelton, sister Patsy Jo  Whittinghill Boisseau, sister Wanda Lee Whittinghill Sandlin Walker, sister Bettie Louie's Whittinghill Poole, brother Clifford Ray Whittinghill, brother Ronnie Whittinghill & brother Donnie Whittinghill.  He is survived by his wife Vickie Croslin Whittinghill, daughter Gail Kennedy (Stanley) of Russellville, son James Clinton Whittinghill of Russellville, daughter LaWanda Harnishfeger (Tom) of Cross Plains, TN, son Jon Whittinghill (Debbie) of Bowling Green, daughter MaryAnn Gunn of Russellville, son David Lewis (Sarah) of Butler County, KY, daughter Ashley Higginbotham (Zach) of Lewisburg, KY , brother Jewel Edward Whittinghill of Cadiz, KY, sister Joyce Marie Whittinghill Henderson of Russellville, sister Brenda Faye Whittinghill Mosley (Jerry) of Ohio, sister Shirley Ann Whittinghill Oberhausen of Russellville, 22 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, & 1 great-great grandchild.  Jamie loved his family and grandkids.  He loved everything outside along with golfing and his love for fishing.  He was involved with Grannies restaurant.  He spent most of working career reading water meters all over the city of Russellville where he meet many people.   Visitation will be on Friday from 5pm to 8pm and from 10am to 1pm Saturday in the Chapel of Kirby Funeral Services Russellville.  Funeral Services will be officiated by Bro.
