Obituary

The love of my life, JJ Stewart, my confidant, my best friend, my ride or die, the best dad my boys could ask for, he was my everything and he has passed away on January 21, 2026. He slipped away peacefully while surrounded by his family and loved ones. He battled hard this past year as many are aware. He was a fighter. He was truly loved and supported by so many people, even those we never met and for that we are forever grateful. He was amazed at all the love shown to us this past year from friends we hadn't seen in years to people we barely knew. JJ had a way about him that drew people. He never met a stranger, he could talk to anyone… and did. He loved customizing cars over many years whether it was chopping the top off a car to putting hydraulics under a '63 Lincoln Continental (which was his current project car). He loved his loud stereos and laughed when he could see my hair do "tricks" in the air because it was so loud. He always loved working out and sports, he played a lot of basketball, corn hole, volleyball, ping pong and pickleball. We loved being active with our boys and friends. He worked 15 years at Logan Aluminum for Fluor going "above and beyond" on his fun projects such as the rocket for the last parade in town and he met some amazing people there that he truly held dear. He had strong beliefs that he will one day be resurrected to a paradise earth where there will be no more sickness, death, mourning nor pain (Rev. 21:4). Our hope is to be reunited with him as soon as it is God's will. He is survived in death by his wife of 32 years Tara Natasha Stewart, 2 sons Ethan Stewart and Gage Stewart, his mother Peggy Bridges, and sisters Christy Gibbs (Johnny) and Mary Jo Maley (Nick) and so many friends that were more like family than just friends. JJ will be remembered for being so loving to his family and friends, strong as an ox and just as bull headed sometimes too haha. He was a truly amazing human being and our hero. Until we meet again, we have projects to work on… Cremation was chosen and there will be a family gathering held. In lieu of flowers we ask that you think of JJ with fondness when you next do something fun because he truly knew how to have fun and loved to laugh and make other people laugh, there was no story he couldn't out do in some way. This is just a small glimpse, there's no way to contain him, he was our everything
