Joseph "Joe" Lonnie Shaffer, 72, of Russellville passed away at his home on Friday August 6, 2021.  He is the son of the late Ellis Shaffer & Betty Jo Robertson Shaffer. He is also preceded in death by his wife Joann Stevenson Shaffer, step daughter Sandra White, daughter Kristin Shaffer, brother Cecil Shaffer, brother Glen Shaffer, Brother Bill Shaffer, and sister Sue Shaffer.  Joe is survived by his long time loving friend Darlene Treece, daughter Tammy Hester (Ronnie) of Russellville, daughter Joann Shaffer of Russellville, daughter Crystal Cavanah (Rob) of Russellville, stepdaughter Sunny Shoemake (Bobby) of Russellville, stepson Eric Trammel of Russellville, Brother Joe Ellis Shaffer of Euporia, MS, brother Danny Shaffer (Betty) of Myrtle, MS, brother David Shaffer of Russellville, 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.  Joe was a heavy equipment operator for many years and was a devoted Christian.  Visitation will be from 10am to 1pm on Tuesday August 10, 2021 in the Celebration of Life Chapel of Kirby Funeral Services Russellville with Bro.
