Joshawa Wayne Brooks Sr. born April 29, 1988 to Melissa (Francisco) Baltazar and the late Clifford Brooks passed away at his residence in Springfield, TN on December 9, 2025. He married the love of his life, Kerri (Presley) Brooks in 2019. They have two daughters Kaizlee and Anzley Brooks. Joshawa's children also include; Samuel Lewis of Jessup, Georgia. Peyton, Josh Jr and Taylor of Springfield, TN. Layla Brooks of Lafayette, Georgia. Noah Brooks of Springfield, TN. Siblings Emmett Brooks, Sara Brooks, Selena Wallace, Nevaeh and Alissa Baltazar of Springfield, TN. And many nieces and nephews. Josh was a hard working, dedicated family man. He was a jack of all trades, and there wasnt much he couldn't fix. He was a man of the Christian faith and most recently attended Oaklawn Free Will Baptist in Chapmansboro, TN. Services will be held Thursday December 18th, 2025. Visitation with the family will be 12pm (noon) to 2pm. The service will begin at 2pm at 431 Church where Joshawa was baptized. The address is 4776 Hwy 431 in Springfield, TN with Pastor Tony Stratton officiating. A celebration of life will be held at a later date, to be determined by Kerri Brooks.
