Shirley Ann Schmidt, 71 of Russellville passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at the Medical Center of Bowling Green. She was born on July 5, 1954, in Russellville to the late Paul Hugh Elmond & Essie Mae Elmond also preceded by a son Michael Wayne Canler & daughter in law Stacey Canler. She is survived by her companion Bill Schmidt, son Guy Dwayne Canler of Bowling Green, daughter Teresa Canler Gregory (Tracy) of Woodburn, sister Wanda Armstrong of Russellville, sister Mavis Wester (Buddy) of Belton, KY, sister Linda Gibson of Nashville, 5 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. Shiriley loved her family and her flower gardens. Visitation will be on Friday, June 19, 2026, from 10am to 2pm in the chapel of Kirby Funeral Services Russellville with cremation to follow.
