Elsie Hallman Squire Obituary

Elsie Ann Hallman Squire, 68 left this life peacefully at her home on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 in Morton, Illinois.  She was recently diagnosed with stage four lung cancer.

 

She was the loving and devoted daughter of the late William Bill Forshee and Helen Prince.  She is preceded in death by her brother the late Leonard Forshee of Chicago, Illinois., and  her two beloved cats  Journey and Princeter.

She attended Eastern Illinois University and worked many years at Tennessee Odoms Sausage in Adairville Kentucky and Dr. Robert Meyers office and Joyce's Beauty Shop in Russellville KY! 

 

Elsie loved her two beloved cats Mr. Bojangles, and Zeppelin and loved her Granddog Jax William Hallman.  She loved animals and people. 

 

She was a devoted, loving,wife (mother) mama, a nanny, Aunt, cousin and best friend to so many! She loved to sing (especially to her loving daughters Stephanie and Michelle, and in talent shows), and write poetry,  and (in which she had many poems published) cook, dance, and play cards, blackjack on the casino boats and loved, loved, loved watching UK basketball!  She loved to travel, attend concerts! She loved to give advice, and take care of so many people in her life!  She was one of the most free spirited, caring, stubborn, sweetest, funniest, smartest, best southern cook, and the most prettiest loving of a lady u could ever meet.  She will be missed by so many! She also loved sunflowers, cats, dogs, music, poetry, UK basketball, and just making people feel special! She loved being a caretaker, and loved giving gifts and cards.  

 

She is survived by her loving husband, John R. Squire of Morton, Illinois.

 

She is the devoted, loving, mother (mama) and best friend to her daughter Stephanie Lorraine Hallman and her dog Jax William Hallman of Bowling Green, KY. 

 

Elsie is also survived by her daughter and son n law, Elizabeth Michelle Hallman and Brad Dozier of Adairville, Kentucky and their children Drew ,and his wife, Kendra, and their daughter Ansley of Springfield, Tennessee.

 her four grandsons, mother and father of Elizabeth Michelle Hallman and Brad Dozier. Tristan, Bradley, Kaleb, and Riley Dozier, her stepchildren,John B Squire II of Morton, Illinois and Brandi Squire of St. Louis Missouri! Her stepgrandson Preston Squire of Morton Illinois! And her stepgrandaughter, Nicole Bradle of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and a brother Roy Forshee and his wife Sharon of Villagrove, Illinois.

 

Funeral arrangements will be at  Kirby Funeral Services, 110 Franklin Road, Russellville, KY. 42276 and are as follows: Visitation Tuesday, April 19, 2022 4pm-8pm, and Wednesday, April 20, 2022 9am-11am visitation, and 11 am the funeral.  

 

Burial/Graveside services will be conducted at the Ann Hummer Cemetery, State Highway 663,  Adairville, KY. 42202. A celebration of life service will be held in Morton, Illinois at a later date for friends and family there.
