Elsie Mae (Harper) Sayne, 91, of Russellville passed away on Saturday February 5, 2022 at Hearthstone Place in Elkton. She was born on November 29, 1930 in Columbia, Ky to the late Bingham & Rosie (James) Harper.
She was a homemaker, member of East Side Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and cared for the nursery when she was active. Elsie motivated and inspired others by her example and faith in God. She was very artistic, enjoyed drawing, gospel music, & dancing.
She was also preceded in death by her husband Andrew Sayne along with 6 brothers, 2 grandsons Eric & Ronnie. She is survived by her daughter Rena Warden (Rocky) of Russellville, daughter Rose Tena Wenta (Bob) of North Carolina, son Larry Buchanan Slinker (Nancy) of KY, Jamie Buchanan Mitchell (Mona) of TN, grandson Robert Warden of Russellville, nephews & nieces; Ronnie Harper, Joy Burt, Kenny Sayne, Lucy Lynn, Leonard Sayne, Donna Sayne, Stefany Sayne Rodriguez, Mary Givens, Dale Epley, Eddie Epley, Dorothy Jean Henderson, Sheila Henderson, Katie Henderson, Johnny Henderson, Billy Henderson, 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday February 9th from 10 am to 1pm in the Celebration Chapel at Kirby Funeral Services with Bro. Bobby Forshee officiating will be at 1pm Wednesday with burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
