Genevieve (Owens) Clemence

Genevieve (Owens) Clemence, 65, born in Detroit, Michigan, passed away at her residence in Auburn, KY, on Friday, Sept. 22nd, 2023. She is preceded in death by her parents, Herman Owens, and Genevieve Owens, of Detroit, MI, as well as a sister, Mary, (Owens) Barr, and a niece Tina Owens. She is survived by her only son, Dustin Owens, of Richmond, VA, and his daughter, Haley Owens; her brother Michael Owens (Robin), of Chesapeake Beach, MD, sister Pat Larson (Curt) of Elliston, VA; brother Jerry Owens of Fraser, MI; and sister Pam Link of Blacksburg, VA;  one niece Jessica Kerr of Lake Mary, FL; two nephews, Christopher Larson & Philip Horner, nieces, nephews and numerous cousins. She is remembered by her longtime friends Joe and Kelly, of Madison Heights, MI, Sarah Reynolds-Zabowski of Center Line, MI, & Dawn Bush of Detroit, MI.

Genny Lynn was an avid fan of her Detroit sports teams, especially the NHL's Detroit Red Wings. Some of her passions in life were cooking, barbecuing, puzzles, and spending time with family. The family wishes to thank hospice of Southern KY for their compassionate help, and a special thanks to Justin of Kirby Funeral Services (Russellville) for his compassion and handling of the final arrangements. She received assistance from a companion Dan Sharp. She will be buried at a private family cemetery at a later date. Please keep family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
