Larry "Noonie" Bailey

Larry Bailey (Noonie), was the son of the late Cecil Boyd Bailey and Grace Leavell Bailey. He

was born into this union on March 16, 1951 in Keysburg, Kentucky. His spirit left us and his

earthly tabernacle on February 19, 2023 when Jesus gave him rest and called him home. No

more pain, no more doctors, and no more needles. Doctor Jesus showed up and showed out!

Larry accepted Jesus when he was a child and was baptized into the Keysburg Baptist family

under the pastorship of James R. Gardner, where he received whooping's on a regular basis, along with his brothers. Later in life he strayed away but the Lord brought

him back and he was added to the church family at New Zion Baptist Church under the

pastorship of Harold Carter, where he remained a faithful and dedicated member and served

on the the usher board until the Lord called him home.

Larry was united in marriage to the late Marilyn Yarbrough on January 28, 1989

Larry was employed at Carpenter Company in Russellville, KY for several years until he went to

work at Hail and Cotton as a lead man until he retired.

He is preceded in death by his sister Thelma Garrett, and his brothers James and Charles

Bailey. He leaves behind precious memories to be cherished by one son: Kevin Hampton of

Russellville, KY; two grandsons: Jeremiah and Isaiah Hampton; one brother: Cecil Bailey of

Lexington, KY; two sisters: Patricia Bailey of Clarksville, TN and Kathy Carter of Springfield,TN;

A devoted brother-in-law: Harold Carter of Springfield, TN; Sister-in-laws: Mattie Bailey and

Nancy Bailey of Russellville, KY; Devoted niece: Kristen Carter of Springfield, TN; Dedicated

and loving brother and sister: Marie and Kenneth Sweatt of Russellville, KY; Loving cousin:

Ethel beard of Russellville, KY; Very good friend: Ricky Bellamy; a host of nieces, nephews, and

friends.  Visitation will be on Saturday February 25, 2023 from 11am until Going Home Services at 1pm

in the chapel of Kirby Funeral Services Russellville with Burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery in
