Ralph Wayne Wright 83, of Russellville passed away at his residence on Thursday, January 11, 2024. He was born in Auburn, KY to the late Harold and Gladys Wright. He is also preceded in death by a brother, Harold Ray Wright and two granddaughters, Macy and Emma. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Geraldine ‘Gerry’ Cardwell Wright; daughter Alison Wright Baker (Keith) of Russellville, Timothy ‘Grant’ Wright (Naomi) of Portland, TN; brother, Boyd Earl Wright(LaVance)of Auburn, KY; grandchildren, Carly Pierson (Kyle), Hannah Westphal (Stuart), Jamie Norton (Joe), Isaac, Abby and Joey Wright as well as seven great grandchildren. He was retired after over 40 years of serving as manager of Southern States Co-op in Russellville. After his retirement, he still enjoyed working and serving in the community, driving for First Southern National Bank and volunteering at Logan Memorial Hospital, each for several years. He loved yard sale ing, metal detecting, and collecting any type of transportation toys. He was a past member and president of the Optimist Club and also a long-time member of the Northside Church of Christ, serving as an elder for many years. Visitation will be on Saturday January 13, 2024, from 5 to 8pm and Sunday January 14, 2024 from 1 to 3pm with a funeral service beginning at 3pm at Kirby Funeral Services Russellville with burial to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Russellville, KY. In lieu of flowers the family asked for donations to be made to Sacred Selections Adoption Agency at 723 West University Ave #265 Georgetown Texas 78626.
