Robert Thomas (Bob) Cook (84) of Rockfield, KY died on December 9, 2021 after having a three-year battle with cancer. He was born in Celina, TN on May 11, 1937 to the late Willie Hugh Cook and Gladys Ree Dyer Cook. He graduated from Jo Byrns High School, Springfield, TN, and attended David Lipscomb College, Nashville, TN. He served in the National Guard and was called into active duty with the United States Army during the Berlin Crisis in 1961.
At age 14, Bob was baptized in the Barren River. He served as a deacon for the Church of Christ, Galena, Indiana. He was a member of the Eastside Church of Christ, Bowling Green, KY where he was loved for his example.
His favorite Bible story was the life of David due to an emphasis on God's forgiveness.
Bob was a farmer and then a chemical operator. He built a company, Dandi Systems, that manufactures buildings and metal siding. He and his wife have traveled to 49 states to promote their company. Bob used Dandi Systems to manufacture their home in Rockfield, KY.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Sarah Neil Hall Cook; his sons: Robert Gayle Cook, Brooklyn, NY and William Thomas (Katie) Cook, Bowling Green, KY and his daughter Connie Cook (Trent) Spencer, Decatur, Ga.; his sisters: Evelyn Mitchell, Veachel Martin, Joyce Boren; his brother, Tony (Pam) Cook. His grandchildren: Becky Ayala, Candace Cook, Thomas (Kate) Spencer, Katelyn (Alex) Cruttenden, Jessica (Chet) Williams, Kylie Spurlock. His great-grandchildren: Leticia, Caleb, Makayla Ayala and Bridget and Callan Williams.
Visitation will be Saturday from 4pm to 8pm and Sunday 1pm to 2pm with funeral services at 2pm in the celebration chapel at Kirby Funeral Services Russellville with burial to follow in Edgewood Cemetery in Trenton, KY. Online condolences and more can be made at kirbyfuneralservices.com
